Announcement: Nuclear Power NO Solution to Climate Change Global Energy Choices in the Climate Change Age Nuclear power is being cynically and cleverly promoted as the answer to catastrophic climate change and energy security. But, as a response to global warming, it is too slow, too expensive and too limited. In an age of terrorist threat it is more of a security risk than a solution. Renewable energy, however, offers a safe, secure and climate friendly energy supply system. It leaves no toxic legacy and is abundant and cheap to harvest. Every Euro spent on nuclear power is a Euro less spent on the real solutions - Energy Efficiency and Renewables Friday 23 September 2005, 10.00 am - 1.00 pm.
